A smile goes a long way

For your chance to win a $50 gift voucher from Whitebridge’s Cellars, check this out.

Allyson Little

This week I got to catch up with the guys from Whitebridge Cellars. These guys always look after me when we’re having big get-togethers. They make you feel at home and have a bit of a joke with you. They also have an amazing selection of locally produced wines which are hard to get from other stores.

What inspired you to get involved in this business

Radford: Just being part of the local community, helping put a smile on people’s faces.
Lewis: I came here prior to getting the job, asking Radford for a bit of experience and then eventually Radford ended up giving me a job here.
Ally: Plus how could Radford resist that smile from Lewis.

What do you bring to your local community

We all may not live in the surrounding area but the community has welcomed us and made us feel like locals. Our staff are always welcoming and friendly to anyone that walks through our doors. To us, fantastic customer service is our number one priority.

What are you most thankful for

Radford: I’m thankful for my family. Plus it’s a good, fun environment that we call work. There’s no stress, as long as the casuals turn up on time!! lol

We love the Whitebridge community feel. It has everything you need here. It’s like a small little village. You’ve got your butcher, your bottle shop, supermarket, newsagent, bakeries all bases are covered. If you want to avoid the big shopping centres, look no further.

  1. I love that these guys are so interested in customer service. To me family rates as number one and to know that these young men come from a place where family matters makes me think their business is way more about relationships than making money. Of course, selling interesting wine absolutely seals the deal.

    1. Congratulations Bronwyn you were the week’s winner! Family and feeling connected are definitely what it all comes down to. Thank you for sharing and congrats! Ally will be in contact to arrange a time to gift you your prize.

  2. I’ve been going to Whitebridge Cellars since they opened, Steve, Radford, Narelle (part time) and the great staff who have come and gone have always been welcoming, personable, funny, accommodating to everyone’s needs, including suggesting another bottle shop to buy products they don’t carry. I’ve also had the privilege to meet the owners Stan and his daughter Sue who are equally lovely people, that are leaders and not bosses, to the point seeing Sue serving, cleaning the bottles, shelves, floor, at the back of the shop wrapping bottles especially with the Christmas season (also includes Sue’s daughters at times), I take my hat off to Sue considering how busy she is. They’re all rockstars but they don’t need to know that, it’d go to their heads😆👍🏻

    1. Hi Tracey

Thank you for sending through your thoughts – I thoroughly agree. Everyone has been exceptionally helpful and welcoming to me over the last 10 years. Lovely smiling faces and a joke here and there. Their wine selection is very good with lots of lovely boutique wines thrown in with some of the favourites. I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Sue but she certainly has some lovely staff.
